Summary
This study will test whether a new molecular test (RT-PCR) can diagnose Rickettsia infections earlier than current methods. Researchers will study 800 people with suspected infection, using blood and tissue samples already collected during routine care. The goal is to see if the new test is more sensitive and specific, helping doctors start treatment sooner.
