First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looked at whether taking Rhodiola rosea (golden root) for 7 days can improve exercise performance and thinking skills in healthy adults who already lift weights. 27 men and women completed four 7-day periods: no capsule, placebo, low-dose, and high-dose Rhodiola. On the last day of each period, they did strength tests, a cycling sprint, and a brain-focus test. The goal was to see if the herb gives a small boost in strength, endurance, and mental sharpness.
