Nose job study aims to see if cartilage grafts really make patients happier
NCT ID NCT07531810
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study follows 50 adults undergoing nose surgery (rhinoplasty) that uses a small piece of cartilage (septal extension graft) to support the nasal tip. Researchers will ask patients about their satisfaction with appearance and breathing before surgery and at 1, 3, and 6 months after. They will also track any complications. The goal is to better understand what matters most to patients after this common procedure.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
septal extension graft (a piece of cartilage used to support the nasal tip during rhinoplasty)
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help surgeons better understand how patients feel about their nose appearance and breathing after this type of surgery, leading to improved surgical techniques.
What could go wrong
This is a small observational study with only 50 participants and no comparison group, so results may not apply to everyone. It simply measures outcomes, not testing a new treatment.
