New drug switch strategy aims for better arthritis control

Summary
This study is testing a new treatment approach for rheumatoid arthritis. It compares two strategies: one group starts with a common arthritis drug for 12 weeks, then switches to a different drug for 36 weeks. The other group stays on the first drug the whole time. The goal is to see if the switching strategy leads to better disease control and remission for 220 patients with a specific type of rheumatoid arthritis.
