New hope for recurrent prostate cancer: shorter radiation with fewer side effects?

Summary

This study tests a shorter course of radiation for prostate cancer that has returned or spread to a few spots after initial treatment. About 84 men will receive either proton therapy or standard IMRT radiation. The main goal is to see if this approach causes fewer serious side effects in the gut and urinary tract.
