Summary

This study tests whether injecting a small amount of saline into the spinal fluid can quickly reverse leg weakness caused by spinal anesthesia after joint replacement surgery. About 20 adults having elective lower extremity joint replacement will receive the saline through a tiny spinal catheter. The goal is to see if this approach can safely and effectively restore leg movement within 60 minutes.
