Spinal catheter saline wash may speed up recovery from anesthesia

Summary
This pilot study tests whether injecting a small amount of saline through a spinal catheter can quickly reverse leg weakness caused by spinal anesthesia after knee or hip replacement surgery. About 20 adults having elective joint replacement will receive the saline flush, and researchers will measure how fast they regain leg movement. The goal is to help patients recover mobility sooner after surgery.
