New hope for cancer survivors: drug trial targets radiation damage

Summary
This study tests if adding medication can treat or prevent lymphedema and fibrosis (tissue hardening and swelling) caused by radiation therapy in head and neck cancer survivors. About 250 participants who finished radiation at least 6 months ago and have moderate-to-severe side effects will receive one of several drugs to find the most effective option. The goal is to improve quality of life by reducing these long-term complications.
