Heart patients get diabetes drugs early to stop disease before it starts

Summary
This trial tests whether using diabetes medications can reverse prediabetes back to normal blood sugar levels in people who also have heart disease. It will enroll 158 adults to see if this early treatment can prevent diabetes-related complications like eye, kidney, and nerve damage. Participants will receive either the trial medications and lifestyle support or their usual care for one year.
