Scientists search for better tests to track blinding eye disease
NCT ID NCT03845218
Summary
This study aimed to find the best eye tests for tracking vision loss in people with retinitis pigmentosa (RP), a group of blinding eye diseases. Researchers tested 49 participants, including people with RP and healthy volunteers, with multiple eye exams repeated about six weeks apart. The goal was to see which tests give consistent results and could be used in future research to measure if new treatments are working.
