First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether a natural supplement made from algae can improve vision in adults with Retinitis Pigmentosa, an inherited eye disease that causes gradual vision loss. Forty-one participants will take either the supplement or a placebo for 3 months, then switch after a 6-month break. The goal is to see if the supplement boosts light sensitivity and eye function, while also checking safety.
