Eye imaging study seeks to spot early warning signs of retinal disease

NCT ID NCT04505618

First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study uses a special eye scan (OCT angiography) to look at blood vessels in the retina of people with conditions like diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion. Researchers want to find better ways to detect early disease changes or improvements from standard treatment. About 1,050 adults with or without eye disease will be followed over time. The goal is to improve diagnosis, not to test a new treatment.
