Could an eye scan spot Alzheimer's? new device aims to find out

NCT ID NCT07425106

Summary

This study is testing a new, lower-cost eye scanner to see if it can take pictures of the back of the eye (retina) as well as a standard commercial machine. Researchers want to see if this device can detect changes in the retina that might be linked to Alzheimer's disease. They are enrolling 82 people, including those with Alzheimer's and healthy volunteers, for a single 30-minute visit.
