First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study aims to find out if proteins in eye fluid and special eye scans can predict a scarring complication called PVR after retinal detachment surgery. 50 adults with a first-time retinal detachment will have extra imaging and donate a small fluid sample during their standard surgery. The goal is to build a risk model and AI tools to improve outcomes.
