New diabetes drug tested for safety during dangerous lows

NCT ID NCT06982846

Summary

This study is testing a new weekly medicine called retatrutide to see if it helps people with type 2 diabetes recover faster from episodes of dangerously low blood sugar. About 78 participants will receive either the real medicine or a placebo for 16 weeks. Researchers will then measure how quickly their blood sugar returns to a safe level during a controlled test.
