Tech and training aim to restore Body's low blood sugar alarm

NCT ID NCT06325202

Summary

This study is testing whether using an automated insulin pump system or a special education program can help adults with type 1 diabetes regain their natural ability to feel the symptoms of dangerously low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). About 324 participants who have lost this warning system will be assigned to different combinations of technology and education over two years. Researchers will measure if the body's hormonal alarm response and the person's own symptom awareness improve.
