Could less steroids be just as good for kids with kidney disease?
NCT ID NCT06635720
First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a lower dose of the steroid prednisone can safely treat relapses of nephrotic syndrome in children, compared to the standard dose. About 50 children aged 1-18 with active relapses will take part. The goal is to see if a reduced-dose approach is feasible and safe, potentially reducing side effects from long-term steroid use.
