NCT ID NCT05381688

First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study was designed to see if deep brain stimulation (DBS) of a brain area called VIM changes how people with essential or dystonic tremor breathe. Researchers planned to measure breath-holding time and peak airflow in a small group of patients before and after DBS surgery. The study was withdrawn before enrolling anyone, so no results are available.
