Can a simple dietary fiber tame PCOS symptoms?

NCT ID NCT06852365

Summary

This study is testing whether a type of dietary fiber called resistant starch can improve heart health and gut bacteria in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). 100 women with PCOS will take either the resistant starch or a placebo (inactive substance) for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, and gut bacteria to see if the fiber helps.
