New stroke drug combo aims to boost recovery in major trial
NCT ID NCT07335107
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether adding the blood thinner tirofiban after standard stroke treatment helps people recover better from a severe type of stroke caused by a blocked large artery in the brain. About 564 adults in China will receive either tirofiban or usual care after their initial treatment. The goal is to see if more people can live independently 90 days later, while monitoring for bleeding risks.
