First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests two different surgical techniques for people who need repeat eyelid surgery for trichiasis, a condition where eyelashes grow inward and scratch the eye. Researchers will enroll 1,000 participants in Tanzania and compare a newer method (B-RAP) with the standard one (BLTR) to see which leads to fewer eyelash problems after one year. The goal is to find a better approach that improves quality of life and can be used worldwide.
