Second chance treatment tested for painful Crohn's complication

NCT ID NCT04118088

Summary

This study aimed to check the long-term safety and effectiveness of giving a second dose of a cell-based treatment called darvadstrocel to people with Crohn's disease who have complex, hard-to-heal fistulas around the anus. It involved about 53 participants who had already received the treatment once before. The main goal was to monitor side effects over three years and see if a repeat dose could help close fistulas and control symptoms.
