One-Shot radiation before surgery could transform repeat breast cancer care

NCT ID NCT06640881

Summary

This study is testing whether giving a single, precise dose of radiation before a second lumpectomy can help women with recurrent breast cancer. The approach aims to shrink tumors while reducing side effects and preserving breast appearance better than traditional methods. Researchers will follow 25 eligible patients for up to 5 years to see if this combined treatment is safe and effective.
