Hormone-Guided dosing may improve treatment for Hard-to-Control high blood pressure

NCT ID NCT06108427

First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using a hormone called renin to guide the dose of a specific blood pressure medicine (MRA) can improve treatment for people with primary aldosteronism, a condition that causes high blood pressure. About 58 adults with this condition will be split into two groups: one where doctors adjust medicine based on renin levels, and one where renin is not checked. The goal is to see if renin-guided dosing leads to better hormone control and fewer side effects.
