Summary
This study tested a procedure called renal denervation, which uses energy to calm overactive nerves in the kidneys, to see if it can safely lower blood pressure in people whose hypertension is not controlled by up to three medications. The study involved 337 participants and measured blood pressure changes over six months. The goal was to find a new way to help manage high blood pressure, a condition that increases the risk of heart disease and stroke.
