Can a digital Check-In tool boost depression treatment?
NCT ID NCT07878754
First seen Oct 16, 2026 · Last updated Oct 16, 2026
Summary
Researchers are testing whether ThIA Suivi, a remote monitoring system, helps adults with depression improve more than usual psychiatric care alone. The trial enrolls 608 adults who have a confirmed depression diagnosis and are starting antidepressant treatment. Participants either use ThIA Suivi alongside standard care or receive standard care only, and researchers compare their symptom changes over 12 months using a depression questionnaire.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- ThIA Suivi, a remote medical monitoring system for depression
- What this could lead to
- If it works, remote monitoring could give psychiatrists a way to check in on patients between visits and help more people stick with depression treatment.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early-phase trial, so the results may not show a clear benefit. Digital tools can also fail if patients do not use them consistently or if the monitoring does not fit into real-world care.
