Summary

This study tests whether a noninvasive arm cuff therapy, called remote ischemic conditioning, can improve recovery in people who have had a major stroke and undergone a clot-removal procedure. The therapy involves briefly inflating and deflating a cuff on the upper arm to protect the brain from further damage. About 2105 participants will receive the therapy for either 14 or 30 days, and their functional outcomes will be measured at 90 days.
