First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether a non-invasive treatment called remote ischemic conditioning (RIC) can improve sleep and other non-motor symptoms in people with Parkinson's disease. 48 participants with Parkinson's and insomnia will receive either active RIC (using a blood pressure cuff to briefly restrict arm blood flow) or a sham version for 7 days. The goal is to see if this simple, drug-free approach can ease sleep problems and improve quality of life.
