NCT ID NCT07412249
First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests whether a non-invasive treatment called remote ischemic conditioning (using a blood pressure cuff to briefly restrict arm blood flow) can reduce the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and other major vascular events in people who have had carotid artery stenting. The trial will enroll 300 adults with symptomatic carotid artery stenosis who are scheduled for stenting. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the conditioning treatment plus stenting or stenting alone, and will be followed for 12 months.
