Smart home device aims to keep heart failure patients out of hospital

NCT ID NCT06222099

Summary

This study is testing a home monitoring device that automatically checks for leg swelling, a sign of worsening heart failure. It aims to see if sending alerts to a patient's care team when swelling is detected can help manage the condition better and prevent hospital visits. The study will involve about 1,500 adults with chronic heart failure who have had trouble sticking with other remote monitoring plans.
