First seen May 16, 2026 ยท Last updated May 16, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new training method for people who have lost part of their vision (homonymous hemianopia or quadrantanopia) to help them scan more effectively while driving. Sixteen participants will use reminder cues to practice making early, large head scans toward their blind side. The goal is to see if this training increases hazard detection and reduces the risk of missing obstacles.
