First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether people with central vision loss from age-related macular degeneration can read faster and more accurately when missing text is remapped to other parts of their visual field. About 108 participants will try different remapping techniques while their reading speed and errors are measured. The goal is to find simple ways to improve reading without surgery or medication.
