Could a lower dose of botox work just as well for bladder leaks in older women?

NCT ID NCT05512039

First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether a lower dose of Botox injected into the bladder can effectively reduce urgent, frequent urine leaks in women aged 70 and older, while possibly causing fewer side effects than the standard dose. About 376 women with overactive bladder that hasn't improved with other treatments will take part. The goal is to see if the reduced dose improves quality of life and bother from symptoms just as much as the full dose.
