This study tested whether adding a muscle relaxation technique to aerobic exercise improves heart and lung health more than exercise alone in people with stage 1 hypertension. Forty adults aged 18-45 participated. The relaxation group did 15 minutes of progressive muscle relaxation plus 30 minutes of aerobic exercise, while the control group did only aerobic exercise.
