Scientists launch major hunt for clues to mysterious cartilage disease
NCT ID NCT04919538
Summary
This study aims to understand how relapsing polychondritis (RP), a rare disease that causes painful inflammation of cartilage, develops and changes over time. Researchers will follow 100 people diagnosed with RP, collecting health information, blood, and urine samples every 6 to 12 months. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day lead to better tests and treatments, but this study itself does not test any new therapies.
