Summary
This trial investigates whether Reiki, a gentle hands-on energy therapy, can help reduce pain and improve recovery in people undergoing lumbar spine surgery. Sixty participants will be randomly assigned to receive either two sessions of real Reiki or a sham (placebo) treatment alongside standard care. Researchers will measure pain levels, painkiller use, scar healing, and quality of life over 30 days to see if Reiki offers any added benefit.
