NCT ID NCT06758505

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new rehab program called ACES, which combines acceptance and commitment therapy with strategy training, to help chronic stroke survivors take part in social activities again. Fifty-four adults who had a stroke at least six months ago and live in the community will receive either ACES or a standard program (START) during 10 home sessions. Researchers will check if ACES leads to meaningful improvements in social participation and mental flexibility one month after treatment.
