First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests REFRAME, a short tablet-based program designed to help family members manage overwhelming emotions when making medical decisions for critically ill loved ones in the ICU. About 387 participants will be randomly assigned to either REFRAME or an informational support program. The goal is to see if REFRAME reduces depressive symptoms and improves emotional regulation, potentially leading to a widely available tool for families in crisis.
