First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study tests whether 12 months of high-intensity strength training can reduce falls in people aged 80 and older who have sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss). About 241 participants will either do progressive resistance exercises or be in a control group. The goal is to see if building muscle strength helps prevent falls and fall-related injuries.
