Cold and vibration devices ease insulin injection pain in children

This study tested two small devices—Coolsense (cold only) and Buzzy (cold plus vibration)—to see if they reduce pain and anxiety in children aged 6–12 with type 1 diabetes during insulin injections. 90 children were split into three groups: one used Coolsense, one used Buzzy, and one received standard care. The researchers measured pain and fear scores right before and after the injection. The goal was to find a simple, drug-free way to make daily injections less stressful for kids.
