First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests a new technique called 'Spot Delete' in proton therapy for low- and intermediate-risk prostate cancer. The goal is to reduce side effects like diarrhea, rectal bleeding, and bladder problems by preventing proton beams from stopping in the bowel and rectum. The study will enroll 500 adults with prostate cancer to see if this approach lowers treatment-related toxicity.
