First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tested whether giving a lower dose of the steroid dexamethasone before the chemotherapy drug docetaxel is safe for people with breast or prostate cancer. The goal was to see if a reduced dose could still prevent allergic reactions and fluid buildup while causing fewer side effects. 46 adults took part, and researchers monitored for severe reactions to find the lowest effective dose.
