First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looked at whether lowering the use of anticholinergic drugs—common in older adults and linked to confusion and frailty—before and after heart surgery could help patients recover better. Researchers studied 120 people having elective coronary bypass surgery. They measured daily living skills and frailty after surgery to see if reducing these drugs made a difference.
