Peer coaching aims to cut hospital visits for homeless vets

Summary
This study tests whether trained peer specialists (other veterans) can help homeless veterans reduce their use of emergency rooms and hospital stays. About 177 homeless veterans who frequently use acute care will receive whole health coaching. The goal is to see if this support improves their health and cuts down on costly hospital visits.
