First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a rectus sheath block—a type of nerve block—can improve breathing and reduce pain in adults after major upper abdominal surgery. About 60 participants will receive the block and be monitored for diaphragm movement and pain levels. The goal is to see if this approach leads to better recovery and less discomfort.
