Summary

This study is testing a new treatment approach for people with a common type of advanced rectal cancer. It combines a short course of radiation, standard chemotherapy, and two new immunotherapy drugs to try to shrink tumors before surgery. The main goal is to see if this combination helps more patients achieve a complete response, potentially allowing them to avoid major surgery and preserve organ function.
