Summary
This study is testing a new approach for treating rectal cancer that has not spread. The goal is to see if giving chemotherapy first, followed by a higher dose of targeted radiation, can completely eliminate the tumor. If successful, this could allow patients to avoid major surgery and its side effects. Researchers will carefully monitor safety and whether the cancer is controlled.
