Finding the best cancer treatment strategy for seniors

Summary
This study compares two standard treatment approaches for older adults (age 70+) with locally advanced rectal cancer. Researchers want to determine whether giving all chemotherapy before surgery works better and is safer than the traditional approach of giving some chemotherapy after surgery. The trial will measure survival rates, cancer progression, and treatment side effects in 230 participants across multiple medical centers.
