Summary

This trial compares two surgical techniques for removing rectal cancer in women. The standard method cuts the peritoneum slightly above its lowest point, while the new method cuts exactly at the lowest point. Researchers believe the new technique may reduce blood loss and protect nearby structures. The study will enroll 200 women with mid-low rectal cancer who are scheduled for laparoscopic surgery.
