First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding dexamethasone, dexmedetomidine, or both to a standard numbing injection can prevent the intense pain that often happens when the numbness wears off after arm surgery. About 75 adults having upper limb surgery will be randomly assigned to one of three groups. The goal is to find the best way to reduce this "rebound pain" and improve recovery.
