Pillbox study reveals real-world lithium habits in bipolar patients

NCT ID NCT07167563

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study aims to see how faithfully people with bipolar disorder take their lithium medication in real life. About 50 participants will use a special pillbox that records when they remove a pill, and they will get weekly phone calls to compare their reported intake with the recorded data. The goal is to understand patterns of medication compliance, not to test a new treatment.
